Beginner Level Conversational Spanish

This course is designed for adult learners who wish to improve their conversation skills and basic grammar. The class focuses on practical communication skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will engage in a variety of interactive activities such as group discussions, role-plays, and real-life simulations to build confidence and fluency in Spanish. No experience needed - just a willingness to learn and practice greetings, common phrases, and useful commands. The goal is to make you feel comfortable using Spanish in real-life situations throughout your communities. Additionally, the course will have areas of focus surrounding Latino culture, including but not limited to, cooking, music, arts and crafts, traditions, and dance.

A Cultural Journey Through Healthy Eating is a vibrant, bilingual cooking and nutrition education series designed to bring together youth and seniors in a shared celebration of culture, wellness, and community. Over four weeks, participants will explore the flavors and stories behind traditional meals, learn simple nutrition tips, and discover how to make healthier choices without losing cultural identity. This initiative is ideal for community centers serving multicultural populations and can be adapted to include local traditions and recipes. All sessions are designed to be welcoming, interactive, and accessible for both English and Spanish speakers.

Cricut for Beginners

March 25- May 15

This 8-week course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Cricut Design Space and guide them through various creative projects. Students will learn essential skills including paper crafts, vinyl cutting, T-shirt making, and sublimation on both fabric and hard surfaces. Each session will combine hands-on practice with expert guidance, ensuring participants gain the confidence to create personalized crafts and products.

Youth Entrepreneur Program: “Craft to Cash – Cricut Creator Pathway” (TBD)

This hands-on 6-week workshop introduces youth, ages 11-14, to the art and business of product creation. Students will learn how to design, produce, package, and price their own creations using the Cricut machine, heat presses, and design platforms like Design Space, Canva, and AI tools. Students will learn how to use cutting edge maker tools, build entrepreneurial confidence, and develop skills in product development through engaging, hands-on projects. The course will culminate with the students creating a product ready to hit the markets!

Tech Together is a 6-week intergenerational digital learning program that brings youth and seniors together to learn technology in a fun and respectful space. The class will cover topics such as becoming familiar with different devices, navigating the internet, and the norms of online communication. Youth and senior partners will then take a deep dive into important tools and applications for everyday life before a final course where we will celebrate the intergenerational exchange of learning tech together!

Digital Skills/ Habilidades Digitales
